A family home that pays itself
The Doyle family of four used 720 kWh a month, with summer air-conditioning spiking bills past $190. Their east-west roof needed a split array, and a mature oak shaded the west wing until noon.

Split roof, shade, big summer loads
We modelled the oak's shade across all four seasons and split the array 10 + 6 panels across both wings, each with its own optimiser string so morning shade never drags down the sunny side. A consumption monitor now shifts the water heater and EV top-ups into solar hours automatically.
- Seasonal shade modelling before a single rail was fixed
- Per-string optimisation for the shaded west wing
- Load shifting for heater and EV charging
Sleeping cool on sunshine
“The crew finished in three days and you can't tell where the rails meet the roof. Our July bill was $71 — down from $194.” — Marcus Doyle, homeowner
